A little update we think you'll love: EU hosting

We’ve got some great news for QualiaInterviews users.
For many of you, especially those working in or with the European Economic Area (EU plus UK, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein), data privacy is a necessary requirement, not a checkbox. We’ve listened to your feedback about making data compliance more straightforward, without sacrificing functionality.
We’ve added a simple switch that gives you complete control over where your data lives, now at manage.QualiaInterviews.com.
The “EU-Only” toggle
Right in the navigation bar you’ll find our new EU-Only toggle. With one click, all your interview data (the interview, the AI processing, and storage) stays inside the European Union.
Think of it as two separate, secure offices. One office is based entirely in the EU and uses only EU infrastructure. The other is our global office, which gives you access to a wider range of AI models. The toggle is the key that lets you choose which office you’re working in, and it remembers your choice for next time.
How it works (for data privacy experts)
When we say complete separation, we mean it. This isn’t just a label; it’s a change in the infrastructure you’re connected to.
EU-Only ON:
- Database: EU-based PostgreSQL.
- AI models: Google Gemini models via a server in
europe-west4. No data leaves the EU. AI responses, audio transcription, Interview Advisor, Auto Respondent, Overviews — all inside the EU.
EU-Only OFF (Global Mode):
- Database: US-based PostgreSQL.
- AI models: full range of integrated models (OpenAI, DeepSeek, Gemini), usually US-based.
- GPT-5 is available to power your interviews.
What this means in practice
Full GDPR compliance is now one click away.
Interviews, data, and credits are kept entirely separate between the EU and Global environments. An interview created in EU mode is only visible in EU mode, and vice versa. Zero data mixing.
