🌟 Qualia and Causal Map at the Qualitative Research Symposium 2025

Feb 4, 2025
We’re happy to share that Causal Map Ltd participated in the Qualitative Research Symposium 2025, held at the University of Bath. The theme of this year’s symposium, Transparency, Openness, and Rigour, aligned with our mission to enhance qualitative research through innovative tools and methodologies.
We enjoyed some thought-provoking discussions and presentations. Some highlights included:
  • Dr. Madeleine Pownall’s keynote on redefining Open Science for qualitative research, challenging the imposition of quantitative standards on qualitative research.
  • Engaging sessions on Involving Participants in Analysis, where researchers shared creative approaches to co-creating knowledge with participants, ensuring their voices are central to the research process.
  • Discussions on the ethical challenges of data sharing in sensitive research contexts, particularly in studies involving vulnerable populations.
From our side at Causal Map, we gave a talk on Rigorous Workflows Using AI for Data Analysis, demonstrating how AI can enhance qualitative data analysis while maintaining research integrity. We also delivered a workshop on AI-Driven Qualitative Interviewing, showcasing our QualiaInterviews platform. Both sessions emphasised the importance of transparency and rigour in AI-assisted research.
